Pollard’s legal department is equally impressive, having recently been selected as a finalist for In-House Counsel/Legal Team of the year at the 2021 Global Regulatory Awards. Following a series of recent acquisitions and unprecedented growth, we are now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. Our team oversees a wide range of global legal matters including acquisitions, joint ventures and other commercial partnerships. In addition to managing the delivery of legal services to our worldwide subsidiaries, you will work closely with our various business units, contributing to strategic discussions, supporting the development of technology and digital projects and formulating corporate policy. This position is located in Winnipeg and will report to the EVP, Legal Affairs.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of corporate / commercial experience gained at a well-respected firm or corporation. Previous experience in technology, public procurement or employment law will be of interest as will experience in a regulated industry. A strategic thinker with an interest in having a ‘seat at the table’ and the ability to provide creative solutions is preferred. Good judgement, strong business acumen and excellent drafting skills are required. A demonstrated commitment to team work and customer service excellence will also be important.
