The legal department will play a critical role in moving the business forward and provides support on a broad range of business matters including new investment initiatives (such as creating investment funds and securities, and managing fund launches), transaction negotiation, trading documentation, regulatory matters, corporate / commercial contracts and interacting with regulators. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this position is located in the financial district of Toronto.
The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of finance / securities experience gained in a well-respected law firm, major financial institution or asset management company. Any experience with asset management, investment funds or structured credit transactions will be highly valued. One who has strong time management skills, is self-directed, able to multitask and has a good attention to detail will be best suited for this position.
