Job Description – Litigation Lawyers
Due to ongoing growth, our client is seeking two litigators - a Partner (10+ years) and a Senior Lawyer (20+ years) – to play key roles in the firm’s thriving civil litigation practice. In addition to building their profile and practice with an exceptional platform, each role will have significant impact on the firm’s structure, culture, and management.
The Partner, Civil Litigation (10+ years) will be an ambitious and up-and-coming litigator looking to take the lead on some of the most challenging, high-profile cases in Canada. They will work alongside elite litigators and provide representation and advice to established clients, ranging from individuals to public-traded and closely held companies.
The Senior Lawyer, Civil Litigation (20+ years) will be a skilled and well-established litigator looking to provide consultation and guidance on large, sophisticated files, with an emphasis on mentoring and developing a team of dedicated, high-performing associates.
As the ideal candidate, you will have an outstanding track record as an expert litigator and problem-solver (either up-and-coming or well-established), and an appetite to build your profile and play an integral role in developing a premier civil litigation practice. A fully portable practice is not required.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- For Partner, Civil Litigation 10+ years of strong civil litigation experience.
- For Senior Lawyer, Civil Litigation 20+ years of strong civil litigation with an excellent track record of mentorship and developing a team.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
