Job Description – Lawyer
Virk Personal Injury Law is seeking a Lawyer to join its Hamilton office. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic and compassionate group dedicated to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
As the ideal candidate, you will have four to ten years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on personal injury law. You must have excellent advocacy, analytical, negotiation, and technical skills; strong client service orientation; a motivated and self-starter approach; and effective practice management skills. General litigation and/or insurance defence experience with an interest in plaintiff personal injury law will also be considered. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Assist clients with a wide range of accident benefit and tort matters relating to catastrophic injuries, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, and long-term disability.
- Participate in and support business development activities, including client relationship management.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 4-10 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on personal injury law.
- Excellent advocacy, analytical, negotiation, and technical skills.
- Strong client service orientation.
- A motivated and self-starter approach.
- Effective practice management skills.
