Shoppers Drug Mart continues to expand its reach and innovate in order to ensure it is providing its customers with the best service and products. The legal team plays an integral role in this growth, supporting the pharmaceutical, health care and cannabis businesses on franchising, corporate / commercial matters and M&A transactions. As well, it advises on regulatory matters and oversees pharmacy acquisitions. It is now looking to build up its legal team, seeking a lawyer to work out of its Toronto corporate office in North York.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years’ of Franchising and Commercial experience gained in a large firm or corporation. Any experience with pharmaceutical/health care law and experience working with regulations will be of interest. It would also be helpful if the candidate has both civil and common law degrees and is bilingual (English / French) as there will be regular interaction with our client’s Quebec operations team. This position will report to the Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of Shoppers Drug Mart.
Being a quick study and possessing the ability to build productive business relationships with the business groups will be important as the successful candidate will be working closely with various business teams.
