JUDICIAL VACANCYONTARIO COURT OF JUSTICETHUNDER BAYThe Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee advises the Attorney General ofOntario on the appointment of Judges to the Ontario Court of Justice, and invitesapplications for a judicial position in Thunder Bay.This appointment involves presiding over criminal and family law matters(approximately 75% criminal and 25% family) and also involves travel withinthe regional boundaries and elsewhere in the province of Ontario,as assigned by the Regional Senior Justice and/or the Chief Justice.The minimum requirement to apply to be a Judge in the Ontario Court of Justice isten years completed membership as a barrister and solicitor at the Bar of one ofthe Provinces or Territories of Canada.All candidates must apply by submitting an electronic copy of thecurrent (September 2020) completed Judicial Candidate Information Form.Acknowledgement and other communication will be sent by email.
