CORPORATE LAW CLERK (3+ Years’ Experience – Corporate Law Clerk / Secretarial / Governance)

With three public companies and over 200 related entities, the Legal team at GWL is now looking to add a Law Clerk to its high-energy team. Working with and reporting to the Director, Corporate Secretariat, the Law Clerk will organize board, committee and shareholder meetings, as well as help prepare required materials and oversee logistics and planning of Board meetings. He/she will attend to corporate and securities filings, maintain corporate records, and assist with corporate transactions and preparation of continuous disclosure documents. The Law Clerk will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including senior executives and the board of directors, and assist with entity management services for numerous domestic and international legal entities. This position will be based out of the GWL office at Yonge and St. Clair Avenues, with in office attendance of a minimum of three days a week.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of corporate law clerk, corporate secretarial and/or corporate governance experience with a major law firm, financial institution or public company. Experience with Global Entity Management System (GEMS) and/or Diligent Boardbooks is an asset. You must be highly organized with great attention to detail, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be a good team player with a positive attitude.
