CF owns and operates Canada’s top shopping centres and office towers, with properties from coast to coast. This department generates a variety of top-quality legal work, providing contract drafting and negotiation support to various CF departments including Marketing, Data & Technology, Digital & Innovation, and Operations Services. This busy team is now seeking a Legal Counsel to provide commercial contracts support and to help refine CF’s procedures and templates. This individual will work closely with the business groups, playing an integral role in negotiating, drafting and advising on contracts and various related projects, as well as having input on CF’s approach to this legal work. This position is located in downtown Toronto.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of commercial contracts experience gained from a major law firm or corporation. Experience working on procurement, technology and software contracts and familiarity with privacy considerations will be of significant interest. Strong negotiating skills and sound business judgement will also be required. This individual will need to be collaborative, pragmatic and possess the skills to navigate a complex organization. The ability to work within a dynamic team environment will be essential.
